Chip the.....i don't know

i want to know why people hate chip, cuz i don't see why he's so annoying.

he isn't like omochao, that gives you always advice at anything you do, so what makes him annoying?

Chip the Light Gaia.

And er, no idea. He's quite a loveable character if you can get your head around it all. Also the little animated short things are awesome. If you haven't seen them you should look them up.

i already saw them, they were awesome. maybe i don't hate chip because i played the wii version. and that he's in the xbox and ps3 games more annoying is?

The Wii version is virtually the same thing, just the stages aren't really as in depth and the Final Boss is a Doomsday Zone rip off. (What a surprise. ¬¬) Chip is pretty much exactly the same in all versions.

I don't understand the hate either, I loved Chip or Light Gaia. He was a very charming character, and having him interact with Sonic, and others was really nice. The relationship Sonic develops with Chip is also a plus in my book as they slowly uncover Chip's memory. I think the main reason people hate Chip is because he is in the game with the *makes a whiny tone* Were-hog. Please I thought it was a fresh change of pace compared to the super fast day stages.

Anyway, though I like most of the characters, I found no reason to hate Chip myself. I thought his food-related antics were hilarious and how he lightened up the mood in serious cutscenes. I also wasn't expecting them to turn around and say he was the yin to Dark Gaia's yang either. I also like his design. It's interesting, especially when you look at him compared to all the other designs that could've been.

I think it was more his voice...assuming you played the version  of the game with it voiced in English. And some people don't really take too kindly to support characters in Sonic all that much...and besides for the sake of being the light Gaia, admittedly, Chip was useless.

True, but I feel people are too quick to dislike support characters, I still liked the way they bonded as their adventure progressed, which made the ending that much more impactful.

I don't think he's annoying, I love him ^-^ his character is awesome and he makes the game way more funnier in the cutscenes : D

If not his voice it was his design. He looked like the cat from Yokai Watch crossed with Iggy from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

He isn't bad enough to put with the worst in terms of character... and even his voice isn't Charmy Bee or Cream tier... but I get where the hate comes from, I don't much care for him.
