The Floor is Lava Empty The Floor is Lava

Your world seems to be pitch black, a lost of feeling and senses seemed to have overtaken you for quite a while before you smell... a sulfuric smell? The smell is unbearable and could wake the dead even! The smell itself seem to consist of rotten eggs or something horrible burning mixed in.  You slowly are awaken by the smell, vision clearing up as the darkness leaves your mind.

Once your vision comes back into focus you notice you are on a large rock, surrounded by lava and many other scattered large rocks. You quickly realize you are in fact stuck in a canyon that has filled with lava and seem to be traveling to the back of you.  Looking up you can see where the very rock you are standing on broke off the canyon side, you suddenly realized you were on an adventure with a group of people when the rock wall sudden broke away.  Pieces of rock hitting everyone and knocking them out as the large section everyone was standing on landed in the lava.

You look around as others begin to come to their senses, quickly realizing the lava river they are in and how quickly this is becoming dangerous.

The Floor is Lava Empty Re: The Floor is Lava

Mist's eyes blinked once as she groaned.  What the heck is that horrible smell?!?!  She open her eyes slowly, as her tired look suddenly changed to a look of shock as she saw the lava around her.  "Ohgodohgodohgodohgodohgod WHAT IS THIS?!?!??!"  She stood up quickly and ran her hands through her watery hair.  "My god lava..... Could it have been ANY WORSE?!?!!"

Now you see, Mist is a water elemental, so you could see her fear as she looked at the hot landscape around her.  She was sweating from the heat already.  She looked around, noticing they were in a canyon- and other people were here too!  She paced around the rock.  She didn't even remember how she had gotten there.  It's not everyday you trip and fall into a fiery lava canyon!!

And the smell-  it was unbearable!  Where was it coming from?  Don't tell me lava actually smells like that.....  She was going into a panic mode, and her only comfort was a scent of burning and rotten eggs.  Great.

She was doomed.

The Floor is Lava Empty Re: The Floor is Lava

Post by ShadyClash Tue May 13, 2014 2:25 am

Clash woke up to what definitely smelled like something awful. After a while, it smelled like sulfur and... Yep, it was sulfur. Clash then stood up on the jagged rock, unsteadily looking around. Looking down to the source of the flaring smell, Clash saw what it was. "Dear god..." He said, as he looked at the molting rock. "...The floor is... The floor is lava! It's the end times!" He said, as he felt the ground shift beneath him. "Huh? Oh, snap!" He said, as he stumbled off of the terrain he was just on, as it slid into the inferno below.

Clash stood and dusted his jacket off, breathing heavily as the intense heat started to kick in. "And I thought underwater temples were bad..." He sighed, as he looked around the rocky valley they were in. "Guess I'll need to ask someone to find out where this place is... If anyone is even here." He then sighed at his loneliness. "And now I'm talking to myself. Fantastic."

The Floor is Lava Empty Re: The Floor is Lava

Spark somehow avoided having his entire head engulfed by flames by waking up as his head droops to earth'a natural hot sea.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH! Why is everything lava?!?" Why is this the apocalypse!?! This shouldn't happen until I'm old!" He sighed. As he rested against the rock that protected his whole other body.

Spark them tried to use the brain that got him into most situations and out. Thinking. Thinking. And Nothing. But wait! There must be people still alive. So let's go find them!
Spark then got up and then sat back down due to the horrific smell. It's just getting to him now.
"Holy Hell, this smells horrid..." He had to cover his nose and his mouth. Just to get the smell out of his system.
He took a big exhale and then floated up to then take a breath of some less than Fresh air. As he then saw that everything that used to be ground level was hot, sulfuric, lava.
"Great."

The Floor is Lava Empty Re: The Floor is Lava

Well, wasn't this just a little bit ironic?
A heat-manipulator placed in a heat-swelling environment. Well, retired. Well, forced retirement. I mean, having your powers ripped away from you wasn't a nice thing to deal with, and it heavily effects a person, sorta makes you realise just how small you are in the world, so insignificant and foolish to ever think you were part of something bigger than a chess-game of the gods.

And also makes you realise how useless you are when surrounded by hot, sweltering lava.

Either way, Mr. Emile Atu awoke. Now Emile was... a large fellow. Not exactly big in the stomach, so to say, but it was pretty evident he was muscular. Broad shoulders and an intimidating physique, one which would put quite a few to shame. And for a spotted hyena, with dark musky fur with the occasional spot of a lighter shade, it was different. Thin clothes, adventuring gear, and he awoke to his bag contents being spilled into the death river below.

The stench hit him like a brick, and he took a moment to gag, holding his breath as he shot upright to compose himself. From the surface, it seemed he was on some sort of rock, floating above the gaping maw of the magma death below. Emile could feel it swaying from side to side with the slight movements of his body, and as he examined the area, others seemed to be in the same situation. Grand.

"Ugghhhhh" a groan rang through the air as the young tigress stood up, rubbing her head as she sniffed a few times.  Her nose wrinkled at the horrific smell as she clear her senses and finally looked around before her.

She could remember being on a cliff with some other folks tagging along... then the sounds of cracking rocks and then darkness.  Looking up she could see where they previously were and then where she stood, on a large rock platform in a pool of lava.  She winced a bit as she looked at the lava, very hot and molten, something even the fire user couldn't handle if she were to fall in.

She looks around at the others who were scattered about in the lava pool, clearly all of them need to get out of there as the lava was moving, taking them with it.  "HEY!" she shouted as loud as she could, "We all need to meet up on one of rocks and figure out how to get out of here!" she yelled.  She glanced around as she awaited responses from the rest of the people.

The Floor is Lava Empty Re: The Floor is Lava

The light blue wolf spun around at the sound of the tigress.  Thank goodness someone's in control!  But.... Then there was the problem of trying to get to another rock....... uh oh.  That hedgehog she had seen made it look so easy......

She took two steps back, and then ran forward and-  tripped.   Before she could fall in she propelled herself forward with her foot on the side of the rock and madly grabbed for another one.  Before she could pull herself up, her foot fell into the lava and it burned.  She screamed and pulled it out as fast as possible.  She wiped her foot off and looked at the damage once she got up.  Dang it dang it dang it OW.  Her favorite shoes, lost.  Those were designer!  Well, at least it's over now.

Her eyes trailed up to where the tigress was, or should be.  But wasn't she just..... You gotta be kidding me.  She still had a couple rocks to go.  "I gotta do that AGAIN?"  But nonetheless, she finally made it to the last rock.  "IM HERE!  I MADE IT!"
