Valentine's Sign-Ups!

She calmly shuffled after the crowd into the room filled with rails and neatly positioned chairs all in a row stuck on the rails. She briefly concidered trying to trace where the rails went, but then decided against it. It would ruin the fun after all and most people here looked interesting enough anyhow.

If by interesting you mean bland and boring Her mental companion muttered with ill grace. oh hush you, fair is fair, you drag me to that market all the time, now its my turn She chided at him as she plunked herself down into one of the seats, crossing her legs and folding her hands in her lap, looking straight ahead with a slight glassy eyed look, indicating she was more focused on her 'own'  thoughts then she was on the outside world.

She might now even have noticed it if the chairs started moving right now.

Srunks groaned at the fact that there was a delay "C'mon, you've got to be kidding me...why would anyone do that?" He slouched in his seat, sighing

"Awh." Ebonia quietly mumbled to herself about the delay, slightly disappointed by the emergency repair calculations. Guess she had to wait. She took the time to simply glance around the room with a blank expression, trying to see how many entrants there were. She vaguely recognized a black and red hedgehog from some news report thing but that was about it. It was all from scratch!

Why was she here? Why was she even here? Why? Why, why, why, why, why...

The thoughts drawled on and on, but came up with no answer. Curious? Yes, she was very curious. People always seemed so happy on this particular day. She wanted to know why. What was so special about a gaze. A glance. What made people so happy about a smile, a laugh? What made people so addicted about a touch...

A touch...

Amongst the festival of pinks and reds, a persimmon wolf glanced at her hands. Her dysfunctional skin. She rubbed the fingers against each other and titled her head up to see a certain stall in the midst of it all. Speed dating it said. Why would she join speed dating? Would people understand sign language? Maybe she just wanted to try and talk, for once, without having to worry about the person she was talking to wander off, or deal with them for too long. That sounded ideal.

Taking a deep breath and pulling her brown scarf over her muzzle, Amber approached the sign up stall and looked at the sign up sheet. She noticed a name that she recognized there, and her stomach churned nervously as her cheeks burned. Not that she could feel that. Slowly and cautiously, she picked up the pen and looked over the sheet as if she were signing a deal with the devil. Her hand shook badly and Amber had to use her other hand to force the other to put the ink on paper and sign herself up.

Her eyebrows twitched, and her lips pulled into a frown, but she sloppily jotted her name down. Done. Amber dropped the pen right away. Oh wait, she was supposed to fill in other things too? Glancing about nervously, the assassin quickly snatched the pen and scribbled in the other necessary information; female, seeking males... That was about it. She didn't really have any preference for- oh wait. Amber placed the pen down and the earplugs she had in her ears. Just for safety precautions.

The wolf then took a step back and stuffed her hands in her pocket. She looked into the drapes, the rooms behind the stall. It seems there was already something going on. Where were the staff? Was she too late? No... It couldn't be that way. She just saw two, three other mobians come in. Maybe they were still tending to that?

Amber hadn't even realized she'd been leaning to the side to peek in between the curtains. Not until the staff returned. Her hears straightened and so did her body. Rather stiffly. She shakily entered the stall with her heart racing. She's never been this terrified before, and carefully chose a drape to push aside, taking a deep breath, and sat down at a certain chair. Amber slowly pulled down her scarf, figuring it would be rude and... Weird. If she didn't.

Just act normal, Amber.

Then the fox heard the word 'speed dating' "Wait what...." Speed dating? That was like....OH GODS "Luka you....." He tried to hold his voice a bit down. Could he run away? No, there's no time for it anymore. It'd be very awkward. Well, let's just sit down and wait what happens. He sat down, twiddling his thumbs. A green stripe on his hand began to slowly glow. All this pink. It's not that he didn't like the color, but this is just a bit too much y'know. He looked kinda nervous and scared now. There would be probably only hopeless adult women and they're gonna think that he's weird and that you shouldn't be here if you don't seek a lover. No! Let's just try to make it fun! We're here to make friends! That's it! His smile returned, but it looked very weakened.

Revan looked around and shrugged at the dent he didn't do it so he didn't care. He shrugged and took off his helmet becoming hyper self conscious his dark hair hung down to just above his eyes. His eyes are silver mixed with green. He stood up and walked to a  low pink table and set his helmet down and pulled his hood up he walked back and took his seat waiting again. (sorry for short post didn't really know what to say)

Geo covered his face with one hand, looking away with a surprised look, C-crap! That was me, wasn't it?! The pangolin looked at the dent as the administrator left the room in a huff, wishing he could fix it. He didn't know if his powers extended to controlling metal as well, and even if they did, he'd probably just mess it up again. Oh, damn it all.

"Welp, I guess we'll just have to wait..."

A white hedgehog walked through the city, dressed in a grey and red collared combat jacket, with pants of the same color, along with black combat boots. His hands and arms were wrapped in white bandages, showing little to no skin except his fingers. He was looking around and seeing all of the red and pink heart decorations and banners everywhere he turned his head. Coming from an isolated village in the mountains, he had only heard little things about Valentine's Day, but he never really celebrated valentine's day, thus him having no idea of what it actually was.

Upon walking further through the city, he then turned his head and noticed a stall a few distance from him and quietly observed it thoroughly. "Speed Dating?" He thought to himself. "This must be what people do for this day." 

Obviously intrigued by this stall, the hedgehog then began to walk up to the stall and immediately noticed what looked to be a sign up sheet. He then took the pen and signed his name on the sheet. He then looked at the drapes behind the stall. "I guess this is where I'm supposed to go." He then slowly walked towards the drapes, wondering what would be in store next. "It couldn't be that bad, right" He questioned.

Tina didn't seemed fazed by the slight delay, as she sat with one leg over the other and her hands held together. At least until she had gotten a text message. Quietly slipping her phone out of her left pocket, she skimmed over the message. It was from Zetski. She made a quick reply, and then turned her phone off. She didn't want to be distracted during the first round.

Hearing that there was a delay didn't exactly make Avery worried, though did peak his interest as to what the delay was about. He turned to see what it was about, and it seemed that someone actually made a dent in the system. That's weird, who had did that? They must've been strong. Though he quickly lost interest and slipped back in his seat and looked around, trying to entertain himself while he waited.

Frost heard the delay announcement, though didn't care of what it was about, nor that there was a delay. She just sat in her seat and waited for the event to start, so that she could experience this holiday to a point. She took time to look at the amulet on her neck a little more, gently holding it in her hand. Then putting it back on her neck to make sure she was properly settled.

Twilight crossed his arms, everything about this was disgusting. The colors, the people, but the delay was welcomed on his part. Anything to put off the inevitable, the inevitable of having to listen to pests babble about themselves- maybe even ask him questions too. This was more than a bother, it was pretty much a complete disaster or it was asking to be made into one. Twilight sat down, looking down and studying the ground as he waited for stuff to happen.

Meanwhile, Pierce seemed pretty bothered. He groaned at the delay. "Ya better hurry up, I got ladies to meet.." He muttered in annoyance. He also found a place to sit, and fiddled with his hands as he waited. His wings stretched and folded in impatience. This was a bother to him too, but in a different way.

A sigh escaped from Punk's mouth. He had a very, VERY short attention span. He tapped his foot on the floor at different speeds over and over, before using the time he had to observe the others in the room. He didn't really form proper opinions, but it was certainly a....colourful cast of folks and sat waiting. Some were certainly more lively than others. Punk turned his attention back towards the chairs and what not. "Hmm.." With a tilt of his head, he questioned what was to come after the delay.

The two peeked up from the bench when they heard the person behind the table who had rose up and start to go on about the event at hand.  Roark, more curious about the whole thing rose from the bench to listen better while Lorelei leaned back on it. Seemed like the explanation went on for a while and now realized that this was in fact not going to be the normal type of speeding dating he knew.  Oh no this was the literal speed dating.  He listened a bit more until his and Lorelei's names were called, turning to her as she herself got up from the bench.

"So... speed dating?" she smiled as she elbowed him a bit playfully.  "Can't been too bad right?" Roark replied with a silly toothy grin on him.  He lead the way as they walked over to the drapes and passed them.  Greeted with a barrage of hearts and various colors from Valentine's Day, the two looked at reach other, Roark amused while Lorelei not so much.  As per instructions, they two followed the rest of the group over to the chairs where the duo took their seats next to each other.  The bear was more focused on the grooves on the floor, trying to figure out how they worked to no avail.  Her shark friend on the other hand sat in the chair, rather giddy at the prospect of the speed dating.  He was ready and the look on his face said otherwise.

Both snapped their head in the direction of the voice as they mentioned a delay in the start of the speed dating.  Lorelei, now growing a bit inpatient looked around the room at who was there while Roark still was giddy and almost dancing in his chair, the boy was very excited about this whole thing.

With the City under the influence of Valentine's Day, Spark thought it'd be a great idea to visit again when everyone is head over heels for each other. He decided to check out the booths to see what exactly was going on. 

When he arrived in the center he saw he had been late for the first event most likely. But he did see some booths still open so he went to the closest one. Spark saw them and looked at them before speaking.

"Hey, am I late for this whole thing? Cuz' I just wanted to see what's going on and perhaps join up..." his voice drifted off at the end of his sentence.
