June Event Week 2

"Name please" Asked the one with the yellow sash to Zetski. His eyes on the form as they already gripped a number for them, a sash with a clear number 4 embroided on it. "This will be both your number and the lane you will be running on. Simple enough right?" They said with a warm smile.

Next to get their attention was Punk "Name as well please!" They spoke as they handed Zetski his sash, just so they could turn around and grab another sash, this time for Punk. One with the number 7 on it. "This will be your number as well as your lane!"

It seemed that those might be all those that wanted to enter. A look around as they nodded to themselves, putting down their regurgitation gear once the names were notated. And thus they proudly walked over to stand parallel to the tracks. Raising their crisp voice to be heard. "Rules are simple! No powers to be used, no trying to get other racers to trip and first one over the finish wins, understood?" They spook, their gaze on the runners.

"Punk Jetson!" He said proudly as he took his sash, putting it on quickly and making his way to his designated track. He listened up to the rules. "No powers? Awww." He folded his arms and pouted "No matter! I can make em eat my dust without stupid powers!" He grinned, looking at his competition "This is gonna be sooooooo easy~" He said with the most confident of grins. He cracked his knuckles and prepared himself "Lets do this!!"

"Zetski Hannings." the cheetah said, taking the sash and replying with a "Thank you" after obtaining said sash. While making his way to the track afterwards, he did realize that he couldn't use his electricity to his advantage, but he was a cheetah, so it would be totes fine. Just don't use powers, he thought to himself. Easy said, totally easy done. "I can do this." he repeated to himself a few times.

Tails watched as the racers signed up and got their sashes. As the rules were being stated, he looked around for a nice place to stand so that he could get a clear view of the track. His ears twitched once or twice as he caught a bit of what the mobians were saying in terms of rules. It seemed standard to him. 

As soon as he found a good spot, he walked up rather close- but not too close. He watched the track as the racers prepared to take off and what-not. He figured the spot he chose was pretty good. It was just right. Now to wait for the event to start...

Amber wasn't one to participate in anything. It was already odd enough that she showed up for the festival, plus she really didn't need the extra attention. Being an assassin meant laying low and not drawing too much attention, so the race announcement was really nothing but an ear-killer for the wolf. However, she can't help but feel a little bit curious as to what was going on.

With a traditional caramel apple in hand, Amber strode on over to the track, where people were already signing up for the race. Unlike most mobians, she did not really enjoy the activity of running. It was rather pointless in her mind, if you had nowhere to go, and infinitely energy draining. She saw a couple of familiar faces here and there, but none she knew well enough to approach.

So she just waited for it to begin.

The robot stood on the sidelines, watching intently. It wasn't like he could compete if he desired anyway, so he just... watched. What was so good about races? The robot instead stepped closer to the starting line, quiet but still intimdating to those not expecting it.

As the burning sun blazed upon the heads of all the competitors, a lone, mysterious figure hid under the shade of one of the fixtures, invisible to most who would just glance in his direction. He had no reason to hide from the participants, but he didn't want them to bother him either. So, he stood under the shade to avoid the public eye in such a spot where even if they did catch a glimpse of him they'd probably know to stay away. 

Though he was agreeable enough to join in the festivities during Valentine's Day, he was not so cooperative that day. His participation didn't do a thing to help him, and it didn't even meet his expectations in the slightest. If anything people seemed to like the idea that he would loosen up. At least his allies think that. So every chance they get, they try to include him in festivities, in which he politely agrees to, and promptly has the totally opposite of fun. He just had to deal with that the previous day, and frankly he was in a bad mood. 

He thought it wouldn't be appropriate to refuse those that he knew well, though he did make it difficult for them. However, he had no problem saying no to a stranger, and once he did say no to them, he wouldn't budge. That's what he planned on doing, anyway. The striped hedgehog leaned against the strong structure, simply observing the event going on in the tracks. His competitive nature as far as speed came was something that only Sonic could quench. His arch rival was the only person he knew personally that was worth his time on a race. He could give them a head start and only start when they were an inch away from the line and he'd still beat them in a long shot. It wouldn't even be a contest.

He was wondering if it would even be worth watching this.

Adrian had walked over from the food stalls to watch and enjoy the race. He wasn't really interested in joining in tho, as he was more of the spectator type of person. So he stood where others had gathered to wait for the race to start.
