I enjoyed Galaxy? I think the Galaxy series is where it shined the most - those games were absolutely spectacular and I need to replay them. Great fun.

Super Mario 64. Please. Hnnngh. I love that game. Especially the DS port. It's part of my childhood.

New Super Mario Bros, the original, is also a shining pinnacle for me. I'm also really good at it. XD

When it comes to Mario in general, it's great! Goofy, but it's a really nice series I wish Nintendo would take more steps with. Not just... redo stuff. For nostalgia crap, basically.

I take it back. This was also amazing. I never played the original, but the DS version was my childhood too, and it was great fun. I picked it up a good while back, and got like... 90+ stars! Not much, but it's more than my younger self ever did

I got all 150 (I think that's how many there were in the DS version, and 120 in the original) and that was without Action Replay. c: I played too much of that game and I loved just running around in it like it was a sandbox. Adding Action Replay later on after I legit beat it made it hilariously fun. Like man, being able to go at hyper speed down the slide or moonjump across Peach's Castle. Mmmmmmfh.

While I agree the main games are bloody amazing in general. The Mario games I personally played the most?
The kart games and Party games. Like, do those count in this thread because whoops I do adore those because I absolutely suck at platformers and what not ;D

Will also say that I really like the entire idea behind Mario maker. I seen such amazing levels just YES

I hate the idea of Mario Maker personally.

...Because it's been done to death in fan games. Like so many. And Nintendo has the nerve to charge 40 full pounds for it?

The levels are coo' though.

I agree that it's very overpriced.

And yes fangames have been made, but in a technical they gave you the resources to do it yourself without needing to difficult hack it. Because honestly, fangames are hard as hell to make.

Like what I really like is that it;s limited and it forces people to be creative with what they have been given, resulting in damm good levels that other wise you'd never see in fangames.

Well, I'd agree that there'd be amazing levels...
...if there were checkpoints in Mario Maker.
But because they lack that, I think it makes potentially good levels really... tedious? Like, you die and you start all over, and that's not that fun.

I really enjoyed the Galaxy games, would happily say it's some of the most fun I've had playing any games really~ As was Mario Sunshine!

Also a really big fan of Mario Kart, passes the time and it's a bit of mindless fun!

Mid. You are a good person. And your opinion is truth.
I really do need to pick up all those games again - they were fantastic, and I miss them. Alas, who has the time? Still, I need to make a note for the future. I REALLY miss Sunshine. That was loads of fun.

I will admit, I never been able to beat Sunshine. Idk why but I struggled so much with it.

And since this is a Mario topic, I shall ask what the first Mario game was you people ever played?

Mario Kart is amazing aaa.

Also first MARIO GAME? Oh god... uh... I THINK it was the very original, because my uncle was a massive fan of that back then. But the first one I played that was actually owned by me was New Super Mario Bros. That was an amazing game at the time, the original DS one.

I LOVED THE MEGA MUSHROOM.

...Also Bowser melting in lava was horrific for me. Like holy crap that's pretty gruesome. BUT I LOVED IT.

Sad that the mega bowser final boss thing only happened in the Wii version of the game, that was crazy... but the DS version has it's charms for definite.

Mario isn't terrible. Otherwise Sega wouldn't constantly try to copy Mario's spin-offs
