Photographs?
Right. So uhh, hello! As very few may know (the ones who watch me on Deviantart), I'm trying to become a better photographer. I've been thinking about posting some of the pictures I took/I'm going to take over here. I don't know how often the updates will be and how many I will include per update but anyways, to start it off, I'm just going to leave two. If you have any tips on how I can create better compositions or how to use my angles better, anything else concerning photography or other reactions, please feel free to leave them below ^-^

Re: Photographs?
Yess a new bunch of photos. These were taken a few weeks ago on a really nice and sunny day without any wind. I forgot to say but I almost always do nature pictures and barely any lifeless things or anything in that genre. Might try it one day tho c:

Re: Photographs?
Photography as an art form is really underrated and it's nice to see some actually here. Can obviously see quite a common theme in your subject matter so far, with the close-ups of flowers and such.
I will say, one thing it might be nice to see you do more is off-centre some of your stuff slightly. At the moment every detail is sorta smack-dab in the middle. Might wanna take things like rule of thirds into account to get more visually striking imagery.

Re: Photographs?
@Dregan: Indeed flowers are probably the things I photograph most. I found an album of pictures I took in the snow back and there's more variety in those so I'll leave a few here and see if that's what you mean ^^" Thanks for leaving your advice c:
Yeah, this time a few more because examples and such for comparison with the rest I posted already.

Re: Photographs?
Snooowww, my one weakness! Always love to see it photograph'd. Just a sweet aesthetic. Also, I'd say your first couple of images in the latest post more closely make use of the rule. Just to make it clear what I'm meaning, threw something together. I've... not the best camera in the world, and definitely didn't have the best lighting or whatever for these, but just to establish what I mean by 'Rule of Thirds'.
Essentially, here be a couple of photos of standard objects in my house;
The idea of where to place the subject in the image is based on the idea of the Rule of Thirds. Essentially you split your image into imaginary thirds - vertically and horizontally - and then try and place your focus across the lines of those thirds. In particular, you want your focal points to sorta hit where those lines intersect.
For examples, for the pop model, I wanted the focus to be on her upper body more than her feet, so chose the chest and forehead as two focal points. The bird meanwhile I wanted to keep focus on the face and beak, so chose the midpoint of the eyes and the middle of the beak.

Re: Photographs?
Dammit man, you beat me to the PG-13 joke. D;
I mean, that's reasonable considering you get to react to your images before anyone else can see them. But still, how dare you?
Still, really enjoying some of these pics! In particular, really like the pic of the Snail, and the one of the Mountains. You seem to wind up in a lot of places for good subject matter. XD

Re: Photographs?
@Dogy: I have absolutely no idea xD There were a few monkeys with these... Let's call them growths and nobody I was with knew what they were either.
@Dregan: I'm sorryyyy ;-; Next time I'll wait cx I'm glad you like the pics tho. And yes, to be honest, I used to travel quite a lot, but since last year I kind of.. Got too busy with school and I started working in the vacations.
As for now, there's another bunch of randomly selected ones...
Speaking of travelling, this was in Budapest, Hungary. I believe it's called the parlementary building or something in that matter.

Re: Photographs?
@HalfmoonHex: Thank you very much!^-^ About the camera, I don't know for sure actually, all I know from the top of my head is that it's a Canon compact camera, I'll check what lens it is when I get back to my dad (probably July 2nd)

Re: Photographs?
Ooooh, really like that second pic of the pink flowers. The angle is really nice, it's sorta like they're laid out on a table... then you realise you're looking up a tree at a vertical plain instead.
Re: Photographs?
- Camera (For HalfmoonHex):
- This is the camera I use. It's a Canon, but I'm not sure which model. The specifications of the lens however are in the pictures.
@Dregan: Thank you so much ^^ To be honest, it's also one of the pictures I'm most proud of.
As for the rest of this post, here's a new bunch of pictures!
So this cat's basically my dad's cat except he's not xD He feeds him regularly and you can find the little furball in his garden ver often.
Not sure if I'm happy with how this one turned out :/

Re: Photographs?
@HalfmoonHex: Well, I actually kind of stated it in a previous post here but it's easy to read over haha. Anyways, yeah, I'm saving up for a larger camera so I can take better quality pictures.
@Dregan: Please don't, that cat be my buddy cx
Aaaalright! So this is from when I went to a huge aquarium a few months ago actually.

Re: Photographs?
OMG why haven't I commented on these before?
These are really good, and its amazing how good they all look. You wouldn't know it was a compact camera you were using until you said *.*
I really like seeing different things in photos, you've got a wide variety here and they're all unique. Not a fan of the waspy one, but its nothing to do with the picture, its whats IN the picture
I LOVE the snowy icy ones by the way. Something about the colder weather photos just draws me to them.

You've goat to be kiding me... Feel free to shoot me on sight.
But, more importantly, these pictures are really great! Definitely better than I could manage with my shaky hands! I personally like how the one with the budgie turned out. The colours just... Well, sit right with me, if you know what I mean.
