Appearance: Ace is an obviously young yellow/orange lion, though his mane has already come in. He usually wears simple white gloves, but with a metallic sky-blue band around the wrist, as well as plain blue running shoes. But his favorite piece of clothing is the blanket-like sky-blue cape he wears everywhere, clasped by a gold button around his neck and upper chest.

Personality:
Ace is very enthusiastic, cheerful and determined to help people and do the right thing! Even if they aren't necessarily interested in anyone helping them, Ace is always trying to be the hero, which can lead to him coming off as annoying or childish, especially as he can be a bit of a show-off.

Ace puts his all into everything he does, which also means he can easily wear himself out on something unimportant, or overthink what he's doing, which isn't especially hard because Ace isn't the brightest either. Despite all that, he's genuinely courageous and kind-hearted, and not totally oblivious to people around him.


Combat traits

Powers:
Ace has his own version of the classic spinjump; the Rolling Leap, where he uses his mane to increase the reach and damage of the spin, as well as accelerate and move forwards in the air. However, he's never mastered the spindash itself because of the awkward shape he makes, and the Rolling Leap itself can reach very high speeds whether he wants it to or not, making it difficult to control. His cape can also be used to control his movement in the air a little bit.

In a pinch, he can use his claws directly, but he isn't especially physically strong on his own.

Social information

Ace is often bullied near his home for his childish ideals of heroism and walking around in a cape all the time, and even though he obviously doesn't consider those people his friends, he doesn't consider them his enemy, either, thanks to his positive attitude.

History

Ever since Ace was able to read he'd heard stories of his older brother going out into the world and trying to defeat evil, a hero who conquers evil and helps people just for the sake of doing the right thing. He always had aspirations of one day living up to the same standard, but he never really thought it was possible, even as a kid, the pedestal was simply too high.

That was, until, stories of heroes like he had dreamed about started happening for real. The world under threat, more than once, always taken down by a plucky fast-talking hero and his friends, some of them even his age, or younger!

From that point on, it was completely clear to him that there was nothing else he'd rather do with his life than find a way to be one of those heroes. He practiced, and trained himself, and learned all he could, donning his cape and setting out into the world to try to find some way to help anyone he can find!
