And again, I'm concerned that that doesn't fit into the context of the RP. It's already been stated what Machina is and the tactics they use; involving "spiritual force[s] embodied by the malevolent intelligent entities comprised of psychic energy" seems to go against their motif. Even in a secondary antagonist's role it just seems to shift the focus from the core RP, adding elements that deviate from the main plot and established theme/genre. I honestly think that would fit more with another RP, not one of this nature.

You do realize that the best games and series always have a sort of third hidden player, right? It's mixes up things and makes this not a 'generic good guys vs generic bad guys' scenario. I will be honest, I didn't sign up for Machina, I honestly wanted a good plot that wasn't 'well these generic evil people want to capture the robot just  for this reason'. The thing is that with Chaos it's a religion mixed with Lovecraftian Horror, as well as fantasy elements mixed with modern day sci-fi of 'radiation'. Chaos isn't just spiritual, it's physical and affects either by conversion, or by simple over-exposure. (Yes, you can be converted to Chaos just by standing near it too long like radiation.) Chaos acts like a cancer and a plague, not just a bunch of wizards.

The second thing is that Chaos can work in the shadows and work ever so gradually. Heck, that is what the Tzeentchians do. They relish in being on the sidelines and twisting behind the scenes. As for genre you could say this lore is the same as the 'Force' in the Star Wars universe, by being fantasy like in a science fiction setting. The genre honestly works if you take it in small doses. There are not very many cultists in this, at most three. Two of which would just manipulate one side and then Festor is sent to retrieve XM or try to taint him with the touch of Nurgle.

If this honestly is a problem I may just drop out,again. This is becoming rather ridiculous. I had everything all nice and planned out and now you're complaining because of 'magic'. Look, I'm a Christian, but I know Chaos is a science-fantasy polytheistic bunch of entities. The only magic would be from the two Tzeentchian cultists, and how Festor works. They're chaotic forces, yes they seem evil but that's not their only theme. Nurgle represents struggle through adversity and even life, Tzeentch represents hope, change, and ambition. Chaos is not just pure evil, it's the chaotic forces manifested into what we would find either desirable traits taken to the extreme.

I was thinking the corrupting influence David and Agatha were here to protect XM from WAS Machina.  So far, we have 3 full-fledged factions involving themselves with XM.

DVNz was against him at first due to believing he was a hostile Metal.  Now, they appear to be ready to side with him against Machina.

Machina originally created XM and serves as the main antagonistic faction here.

GUN is currently in the same position that DVNz was initially, believing XM to be hostile and coming after him because of it.  GUN's alignment can go either way.  They're a government organization, and since Machina takes some cues from the Illuminati, there could be a secret alliance between the two factions.  The individual GUN officers could pick a side based on that.  If GUN has ties to Machina, and they learn of this, they could decide to either stay with GUN or ally with DVNz and Amber to help XM, bringing their military experience with them.  Steel, my GUN character, is an android himself, and he has a "heart" like XM.  He could decide to side with him upon getting to know him.  What the other GUN operatives do is up to MikeMurdock since they're his characters.

Thing is, when I mean corrupt I don't just mean reprogram... I mean taking on the actual twisted forms of chaos physically.Rust, leaks, puss, slime, tentacles, pinkish and purple flame, the very metal being altered in shape and form, even being turned into gold is possible with Chaos augmentations of machines.

Then I guess Agatha and David don't have a point now, they don't really mind G.U.N or other humans due to the fact they're not the local law enforcement and they're basically the Catholic Church army take to the extreme. Think of them like Knights, nuns, and monks basically with some really fancy toys. All they would do is basically make sure XM doesn't fall into the wrong hands regardless, (like being sold.) Yet I don't see the real conflict other than making sure XM is 'sanctioned' and not to go rogue against humanity. Other than both Agatha and David being simply attacked that is. You see they're converts, not actual parts of the main Imperial branch. Thus they actually abide by the law of the land, (for now until the Imperial Fleet would somehow arrive. Which never happens in my writing. )

To put this as tactfully as I can: please do not presume the authority to objectively dictate what is a good plot and what is not. The principle reason why I'm "complaining" is because you're trying to change an ongoing RP to fit your sole preferences instead of what Gamma has already established as the core premise, and these changes can make things inconvenient for the current participants. I am in no way denouncing your idea in itself nor your aptitude as a content creator, I just feel these ideas would be better in a separate RP.

With that said, if Jared's dropping out, then it's just going to be Gamma, Mike, then me as the post order. After my next post I guess we'll start with that.

Considering how bad Jared's involvement seems to have derailed the RP and its plot in its current form, I'm considering starting over.  If I do so, I'll have to find a new thing to fascinate XM besides a synchronized Christmas light display since Christmas is over.  Alternatively, I could start with Steel being deployed to hunt him down.

Alternatively, we could save this if Jared is willing to delete his posts and everyone else is willing to edit around it.  I really should've just told him that his characters DIDN'T belong from the start.

We could just restart to before he joined, when Volt was escorting Amber and XM out of the city prior to spotting Agatha and David. It might be awkward jump, but I'll try to come up with a way to bring Mike back in so we can get back on track.
