Lots of Water

"This place truly is filthy," spoke a short... man(?), supposedly to themself, sighing a little before noticing the wolf pass by, "but like many places, it provides interesting company for my travels."

The strange antlerred rabbit in the dark gray lab coat waved hello to the wolf as they passed by, "Hello, sir! What brings you all the way out here?"

The fox heard a voice, and was caught completely off guard and unaware. He stopped walking and looked around for a point of origin. 


"Uh, Just going for a walk?"

Having found the speaker, and answering the unexpected question, the fox cringed at how suspiciously nonchalant his comment was; who in their right mind would go for a casual walk through the slums.

His smile was calm and relaxed but it was immediately obvious that he was speaking bullshit.
"Alright, I understand, I won't dig any further - everyone's got their secrets. Regardless, may I walk with you, it does get awfully lonely around here, even for a traveler like me."

The fox looked at the man, unsure of his intent and unsure of whether he would be able to continue onto the Informant. 
"Uh... Sure."
Darken continued on his original course, but still considering attempting to shake the unknown figure.

The rabbit with antlers pushed popped off the wall he was standing by and headed over to the wolf, arms to his side.
What strange gloves... Hm.

"Thank you. Ah... Sorry, I think I should introduce myself now. I'm Dr. Hirsch, though for may call me Enjel if you don't mind.", Enjel explained, seeming to have a small bit if trouble keeping up with the younger man.
"And you're name is?"

(Thought they were a wolf, Woops)
Enjel chuckled, continuing fast walking, Nice to meet you, Darken. I'm primarily an inventor, though I've taken an interest in cryptozoology and have been traveling Mobius in search of things called 'Entities'. That's why I'm here - heard there'd be something of my interest. And you?"
He knew Darken was getting bothered, but he didntbfeel good about justbkeaving the man alone yet. Curiosity had him hooked.

"I'm an inventor." At least Darken didn't completely lie, he did invent for a hobby. "What is an Entity, may I ask? Is that in reference to anything living or is that a specific sub-type of creature?"

Darken stepped into a mixture of mud and oil, squirting the ensuing juices all up his pant leg

Enjel noticed the oil and mud mixture squirt up the other man's pants and made a conscious effort to walk around it, before continuing on their train of thought.
"Ah... Entities are what I call strange, anomalous artifacts or the cryptids - I forgot where I first heard it but it seemed like the best catch-all term for the things I've been looking for.

The town was rather barren and lifeless... Enjel knew Darken was heading somewhere, but where he wasn't certain.
"I'm curious, have anything to say about the things you've invented?"
It was an awkward way to phrase it but he wanted to get a conversation going.

The fox nodded, listening to the Doctors explanation of Entities, that they were actually artefacts of bizarre capabilities.

But then was once again caught by surprise at the mentioning of his inventive hobby, he had expected to continue the discussion of entities, and preferred not to continue his bluff, as it tended to get a little bit hard to believe at points.

"I... I invented a robot that can expand shrink. But it's design was flawed and the practical purposes were severely limited..."

The fox shrugged and attempted to kick off some of the mud from his shoe.

Enjel was curious but didn't mind. Realizing they were uncomfortable on that topic they didn't mind stopping discussion of invention that was still rather short.
"Ah, I see. Hm... Do you know much about this place yourself?", Enjel inquired, wondering if he could at least get some info. out of him.
In all honesty, the doctor felt a little silly that he only came here on hearsay. With all consideration, he normally only came once he knew enough about a place to know what gadgets to bring.
It tended to be the Ring Gloves and extreme gear, he still needed to update his other gadgets and he still had more to make and those filled most purposes better than other gadgets.
Yet, this time he came without even knowing what the artifact of question was! He'd excuse himself if the place was nice and relaxing, making it a good vacation spot even if the artifact was a myth which would still want to know a little about, but here he was, in a place that felt like Sewers Land, with no real reason.

The Professor asked yet another question, Darken was beginning to become severely suspicious him, but Enjel hadn't made any move of hostility yet, so for now he could trust.

With the meeting point nearing fast, Darken smiled and considered the options. 

"Actually, I don't know this place very well, I was hoping you would be able to offer some advice?"

After all, the fox doubted that Dr. Hirsch would try to mug him or something of the like. Although. Enjel did have some sweet gear...

Enjel felt the air change a small bit... This man was giving off a slightly strange aura that he didn't like the feeling of. He didn't want to be rude though.

"Oh, I see. Sorry then I... Admittedly, as ashamed as I am of revealing this, came out of heresay alone. Had I known this place was this filthy I wouldnt have come but even if it were a beach resort I'd wish I'd known if what I was looking for was a stone. Only 40 and I feel absent-minded... Haha.", he spoke in a slightly sheepish tone, looking to his strange gloves as he adjusted the 'cuffs'. Not out of malice, just messing with stuff because he felt awkward.
The cuffs had strange symbols and colors, which the purpose of such symbols didn't seem clear. Most if the symbols looked like various rings... It would then be prominent that around him, more specifically his hands, a concentrated form of Chaos energy seemed to radiate off - no where near as strong as an Artificial Chaos Emerald, but more comparable to multiple rings all sharing one spot. What were those things?!

Darken nodded, agreeing with Enjel's view of the urban swamp that they had walked into. Darken then shrugged, deciding through judgement of mannerisms, that Dr. Hirsch could be trusted in at least some things. 

"I'm going to meet an old friend of mine. He doesn't like strangers, but I'm sure he won't mind having you around. Did you want to come visit, He might even be able to tell you something about what you're looking for?"

For all purposes, the fox's intent was well aligned enough. But there was still a lie in there, the Informant was not in fact the foxes friend

"Oh, I wouldn't mind at all, Darken. Thank you for the offer.", Enjel was pleased, his bunny ears perked up cutely behind his antlers.
At least the aura had faded - Darken no longer seemed stressed. That certainly made him more comfortable.
Enjel currently considered a way to allow mixing up of gloves so he can always have a back-up gadget. Considering the hack gloves have no combat function meaning they are only best with boots that give him.an attack which the only ones that currently do that are the boost shoes... He quickly grew frustrated with himself.

The Fox smiled, the Scientist seemed to return the trust. After Hirsch's reaction Darken was finally able to pinpoint what species the Doctor was, A Jackalope(?). While race did not matter the fox, it was always filled the inventor with a little sense of fulfilment when he was able to identify those around him.

Then, nearly instantly Enjel became irritated by something, and following his line of sight, Darken was able to deduce that it was the equipment being worn by Dr. Hirsch that had annoyed him so. 

"Those are some cool gloves."

"O- oh, thank you," the older doctor said as he was caught off guard, "I made them myself, though I've still got a few tweaks to do. First and foremost, I have lots of them to use on my adventuring... But some are somewhat useless. I mean, I'm no fighter, but I should always come prepared right? Yet my other gloves are limited. Worst of all, I made it so I could only use their functions when worn as a pair... Haha- sorry for ranting like that, just came to a realization as to a flaw in the gloves design is all."

The older doctor sped his pace up, feeling embarrassed he let himself open that much. If you get him talking, he probably won't shut up.

Darken was much intrigued as to the engineering of the gloves, mostly because of his natural Inventors curiosity.

"No no, I find them quite interesting."

Then the Fox stopped, realising that he was at the Informant's supposed location. However he appeared to be in the middle of a disused intersection, which had become many shades of brown and black in the moonless night, due to the few remaining orange-streetlights.

(He's a fox, but when he's angered he becomes a Wolf. It's listed on the Character Bio. Sorry if it was confusing)

"Oh, glad to hear then. Still, the gloves I'm currently using are pretty much my most useful ones, allowing for great combat potential, healing, and an interesting method of travel." he began again, before they came to a wall...

"Is this the place? Doesn't exactly feel right..."

The Explanation of the gloves use was most helpful, and should the situation turn sour, which considering the unexpected location was very likely, they would be probably be needed.

"I don't think this is the place..."

The fox pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket, and analysed it again. Just as he was looking up to ensure that the information was correct, a shadowed figure turned an ahead corner and began walking towards them.

Enjel heard this and stepped back, uncertain of how to feel about this... Something felt clearly wrong...
"This... Something is-", he was cut off by the dark figure, startled he checked the mode his gloves were in while standing beside Darken, looking up at this other... "Is there a problem?"

The figure continued walking, and Darken too stood prepared. The character's unwavering movement showed that they were not intimidated.

"There is a problem. I was told there would only be one here tonight."

Enjel soon clicked the other glove a few notches over as he listened to this person, before putting his hands up slightly as if surrendering, continuing to try and calm the situation before it got ugly.
"I'm sorry, I probably shouldn't have come along, I just met Darken and started conversing with him. I don't mean any trouble.", his voice was rather calm despite his words. He would fight if he had to, not that he wanted to. The man made no threat on his life yet, nor Darken's.

The Unknown Character stopped walking, noticing Enjels apparent surrender. Darken also decided to raise his hands, to prevent any previously misconception of actual hostility.

"No need to worry. I accept any customer, so long as they pay."

Darken glanced from the Figure to Dr. Hirsch, and then back again. 

"I brought the money. Also, this is Dr. Hirsch, and I was hoping that maybe you could help him out with something."
