Intergalactic Hotspot

He nodded, "Yes actually, It seems quite strange that they'd even try to put a railway this high up above the ground. What are the benefits?" Darken saw the purple hedgehog looking at the picture, "Who's that?" he asked, in a more curious tone.

Rainbow quickly put the photo back in shock.
"Huh?! Oh, her... She's someone close to me. Anyway about the train, I hear they're trying to make it hover along instead of needing a track." He explained about the train and was waiting for it to whistle again but nothing happened. Hours spent and no noise... What were they doing!?

Darken nodded, Levitation was a popular idea among many, civilian and scientist, "That does sound like quiet the concept." He said, not taking notice of the lack of noise.

After that, Rainbow waited for a while, occaisonaly taking a sip of milk from a travel mug he bought a few minutes ago. 
"I don't hear the train. What's happening?"

"Oh, yeah. I hadn't noticed that..." he said, looking around the cafeteria, to check who else had been confused.

"Meh, it's probably maintenance or the train went elsewhere." With that, he put some white headphones on and started listening to some music.

Darken nodded to the hedgehog and decided to find the staircase to the mysterious railway. "What's going on?" he asked himself

(I have nothing to add other than this) Rainbow seems to be listening to a familiar song...

He turned to Rainbow, "Hey, do you wanna go check it out?" he asked, looking for any sort of path to the above level.

Rainbow took the headphones off, and started running up the stairs. 
"Sure, let's see what's happening, and by the way the train station is up here." He was thinking how long until some idiot started making a riot in the main plaza.

"Ah, so there are stairs." he mumbles, following Rainbow in suite. As he travelled up the stairs, he smiled at the irony of the pairs names, his own name was Darken, and the purple hedgehog's name was Rainbow. Two completely opposite names both travelling up to the higher platform at the same time.

When they reached the train station, someone was yelling at what seemed to look like penguins trying to fix the train. Rainbow wondered how and why this happened and why penguins are here

Darken watched in awe at the penguins, as it was uncommon to see them at work. Not only was that a surprise, but also the train's stoppage was off-key, "Hey, do you know what's going on?" the fox whispered to Rainbow.

(LOL Club Penguin reference) "No idea, but some are trying to fix it with a jackhammer... Clearly not gonna work." All of this during a very angry person bossing them around by saying "Cut it out, you morons!" for example.

"Oh... Ok." he says still confused by the Penguins work. "So does that mean people can't get on?" He asked, still looking around for anything that could hint as to why it was happening

Rainbow just shrugged, a sign he didn't have a clue. The loud noise happened again, but the train the two were looking at didn't make it. 
"Uh... Do you think there are multiple trains?"

Darken shook his head, "If they're making repairs on this train, then there shouldn't be another one coming through on this track... However, there could be one coming through on the other platform." 

The grey fox pointed to the other set of tracks, running parallel to the one that the disabled train was on.

He stretched out his neck, and took a step forward in an attempt to view down the track, but saw nothing as his field of vision was cut off by the wall of the building.

Another train; looking quite unlike the broken one, zoomed past the station and knocked a penguin off the first vehicle. This alarmed Rainbow to an extent he almost ran in the direction of the speeding train, but stopped to ask Darken: "Is there a chance that train zooming past is meant to stop here but didn't? I say that because it doesn't look legal..."

Darken nodded, a little bit shocked about the immense speed of the train that had just passed, "Yeah, I'm pretty sure that there are speed limits inside of stations, even if they aren't stopping. Not to mention the repairs taking place."

He wondered whether or not it would be worth phoning the authorities, or going over to see if the penguin was ok.

(Lol, sorry, the whole penguin business reminds me of Starbound)

(RIP. QUICK AD: You can ask my OCs anytime!) Rainbow silently nodded, before being alarmed again when the angry person shouted and the penguin that fell off sped back on and continued the work. "Something tells me the train will be finished soon enough..."

(Pardon?)

The grey fox looked at Rainbow, "What makes you say that?" he asks, wondering if the hedgehog'd seen the penguins work before.

(I have a Character Question post called Ask Rainbow LITE) Rainbow pointed at the person shouting constantly st the penguins. "He's bossing the penguins around with no end, that's why I think that." He then acted like he was looking at a watch, looking at the train from time to time. (SIDENOTE: This is his wait animation.)

(Ah, I see.)

Darken nodded, actually feeling a little bad for the penguins, considering the tough work they did, the dangers they faced, and the abusive site manager. 
"Well, I certainly hope that they finish soon." 
After all, the fox had a busy schedule and would need to return to his research soon enough, that is, if he could catch a train.

Rainbow ended up sitting down at a nearby bench and started sleeping. (ROFL got nothing else to say.)
