Sapphire Bay

Sapphire Bay is a small, urban beach city directly West of the Lost Jungle and Southwest of Dolphin Resort, known for being a tourist trap and having gorgeous, mysteriously glowing blue water around its beaches. Though it's a fairly small city, the region it's in is governed by a monarchy and the city is both prosperous and most of its citizens kind and accepting of outsiders, leading to one of the most diverse populations in all of the Mobian United Zone Alliance(U.Z.A.) Despite this, the current leaders are infamous for their bigotry and general rudeness uncharacteristic of the land they rule, even cutting ties with their own children for their identity.

Palmtree Plaza is a popular shopping district in Sapphire Bay with plenty of activities to do and food to eat, found close to the boardwalk by the beach. There's a theater, an arcade, a number of restaurants owned by the Chaos Cola company like Petey's Pizza Palace, Kaos Fried Chicken, and the Sonic Café, and many stores(including the Sapphire Bay Mall…)! It's not unlikely to find some more sporty and athletic individuals(surprisingly rare for the native citizens, interestingly enough) doing parkour around the plaza, a nice spectacle to watch occasionally as they whiz on by…

Due to a Feignite Crystal somehow having found its way inside, many of the electronics in Sapphire Bay Mall have gone haywire, earning itself a new nickname, "Malware Mall". As of now the facility is still closed and it's not likely to be reopened any time soon, despite the Feignite Crystal having been retrieved from the mall by Slash Kopis and Cynthia Wilson on behalf of Princess Skylar Stone, given the millions of rings of irreparable damage done to the inside by its power. GUN Officers were recently stationed in this otherwise peaceful city to keep watch over the mall, though since the Feignite Crystal was removed the stationed officers guarding the mall have been cut by more than half. With that said, it's still pretty hard to sneak into the mall…

This mine's entrance is found on the far edge of Sapphire Bay at the bottom of a grassy cliff. As you might imagine, a common export of this area were sapphire gems mined in this cave. However, it's been twice abandoned, one time after a flood and a second of mysterious cause. The dock's wood is decaying, falling apart from the moisture of the old cave torn apart from years of hard work and water erosion.
