Halloween Week 4

Fortunately for Punk, the knife had found itself lodged in the creature's chest and thus did it fall upon its side with the impact mid-leap. It slid across the floor and landed beside the trio, long nails scratching and clawing at its breast where the weapon was impaled within. Its body twitched and writhed, legs jerking out aggressively and back arching with each slash across its own body. Scratch scratch scratch. Scratch scratch clang. The knife dropped and clattered to the floor, but not before leaving a gaping self-inflicted wound a lot worse than the original throw. One thing was for sure - this thing didn't like that kind of weapon. It was like a burning sensation was coursing through its body. With the creature next to them, one would have to wonder what the trio would do with it.


The magenta fox hissed through those plentiful teeth, taking a careful step forward towards the large group. It had orders - defend the elevator with its life. And reflective eyes were certainly showing that it had no coherent thoughts beyond that order. Like some sort of obedient guard animal. Tail swayed side to side, eyes flickering straight to Ozzi with the appearance of the large staff. Then to Twilight with the burst of dark aura. The echidna seemed to be less of a threat - that could be left until last. She finally settled upon the staff-wielder. With a flexing of the shoulders and a loud screech that echoed through the halls of the subway, the primitive mobian charged forward with an open mouth to take a good chunk from him.

The other, the more skin-clad bony creature with terribly long limbs, seemed to remain in place. It slowly tilted its head to the side, not out of understanding but more... curiosity and confusion. It remained in front of the elevator doors, but wasn't making a particularly aggressive move against the group. In fact, the mutated creation of a once-mobian seemed perfectly content with just staying stationed there - provided the group didn't approach it, perhaps.

It worked.

A small, triumphant scoff left the assassin as an attack formulated in her head. In a flash. Amber pulled out two more knives from her belt, chucking them as hard as she could to its feet. Yes, its feet. With high accuracy the blades pierced through its flesh and bone, and lodged deep into the floor. Before anyone could react, Amber took off in a sprint towards it, jumping up and flipping gracefully in mid-jump, extending her right leg and hitting the creature's head. 

But it wasn't a kick.

With her momentum, she pinned the creature to the floor, her foot on its forehead to keep it from snapping up and biting while the knee of her other leg dug into its chest. In a blink of an eye, she had pulled out the last two knives on her belt, and without hesitation, slammed them down into each of its hands and through the ground to keep it there. With her weight on it and its lack of muscle, there was no way it could escape.

But her eyes were focused on only one thing; the collar. 

Pulling out a device from her pocket, she scanned the collar's engineering and functions, but the device's signal was close to dead. She could only save the information. Tapping its screen several times, she then placed it onto the collar, where two sharp conductors jutted out from the device and dug into the thing around the unfortunate creature's neck. She short-circuited its functions, and remained still to see its next reaction.

Twilight raised some dark blades and with the current commotion flew up and started towards the elevator. The magenta monster seemed to be dealt with for now, so he kept his eyes on the other mobian. It was creepy to say the least, but he didn't think it'd be anything too hard to deal with. He stayed up in the air, not too high up though. One of them could easily swat him out of the air and on to the ground. In fact, running probably would have been no different for him at this point. 

It was easier to maneuver in the air, though, and if something came at him he trusted his wings to carry him out of harms way better than he trusted his legs to do so. He kept his eyes pinned on the skinnier mobian, very occasionally glancing back at the magenta mobian- but not too much as he wanted to keep his attention focused on one of them.

Punk paused to think again, before looking at the pinned down creature, he darted over and stomped his foot down towards its right hand to hold it down further before looking to its horrific wound "It can't last much longer with that wound.. We need it alive to find out what the hell is going on." He fumbled around in his pockets, skipping over a glowing red gem in one pocket to find any type of medication he could, luckily finding an anti-pain tablet that he dropped towards the beasts mouth.

Echo's eyes widened as the magenta fox charged towards Ozzi and Acai. "Oh no you don't!" He shouted at the thing. He ran to intercept the incoming collision, elbow poked out towards the monster. If this attack collides with the monster, not only it was aimed for the cheekbone, it should produce a low frequency sound, adding to the strength of Echo elbowing the monster, not stunning, but causing more knockback into the adjacent wall. It wouldn't hurt the others, however, due to this frequency.

At a quick glance, Ozzi could see that Amber was going for the other creature that wasn't attacking them at the moment.  He remained hopefully that she could disable it so that they can get to that elevator.  Ozzi also noted that Twilight was already trying to get to the elevator already, not seemly interested in help anyone in the room with trying to subdue the beast before them.

But he didn't have too much time to think or let alone yell at everyone to try to work together as he suggested earlier, the creature that was the magenta fox charged for him instead of Twilight. Needing to react fast, Ozzi swung the staff to connect with the creature's face with a hard blow, hoping the hit would knock it to the floor where they might be able to subdue it or at least knock it out.  There was still one other creature blocking their path, they needed to take out both before finding out exactly what the heck is going on here.

As Ozzi swung the staff, he also saw Echo charging at the creature he was attacking.  He cringed a bit because of the sound user, the noises make it hard for him to fight as well as Acai.

"Okay!" He nodded. "So what to do now? Walk to the others? I exactly know where they went. Hopefully they don't went another way." Boubka rested a bit. Seeing as there was no turning back now, he shouldn't feel scared. But he still felt it. What if he would die? He couldn't die here. He still needed to trick or treat this year! "Or do you have another plan or something?" Then he saw that Punk throwed a pill towards the creature. "What is that?...ALSO I FORGOT TO ASK YOUR NAME! I'm Boubka!" Okay that escalated quickly....

(Quick note, Knux! Amber is with Punk and Boubka dealing with the first encounter, and isn't in that room!)

The light on the abomination's collar fizzled from a green to a blackness, fading away as the little device switched off. The creature's howls and screeches and screams lessened with the pill, and it moved its head to the side to rest its cheek against the dusty subway ground. Jerking and furious movements became still, the once-mobian was more content with lying right there despite the absolute burning through its palms and legs from the daggers. Very faintly, very quietly like a whisper in the wind, the experiment slowly mumbled, "My eyes, my eyes..."

Like a ball to a baseball bat, the impact to the face from the staff and further knockback from the sound bullet was enough to send the rabid fox flying into the wall with a loud crack, ribs breaking from collision against metal as well as a gurgled cry from its lips. The mobian shuddered as she heaved herself up, arms and legs shaking from the powerful blow to her body. But she wasn't exactly out yet, evident from the way her fingers curled aggressively around the edge of the shattered work desk and the way she bared her teeth with absolute primal rage. Her pose was ready to strike, and her ears flickered as she listened to each movement in the room. Deciding who was the better target.

But was it worth fighting this abomination, or running for the elevator that could now be opened with a press of a button on the side-panel? That did, of course, mean dealing with the other experiment sitting idly at the door.

Twilight continued his flight, putting a blade in between him and the other experiment as he thought of diving for the button on the side panel. All he had to do was press it and fly right into the elevator, hopefully kicking the experiment aside and landing inside without much of a problem.

The problem was actually doing that. He looked at the button on the side panel, waited a second, then dived toward it- not at top speed but he was going fast enough to be hard to catch immediately. He stopped short, hurriedly pressing the button before attempting to swing around and land in the elevator. But the experiment was in the way. He lunged his feet out, aiming to kick the experiment away as he swung into the elevator. But would that be enough? His hopes were particularly high.

"Names Punk an- Woah woah WOAH!" Punk exclaimed, looking at the creatures face and leaning down towards it "Did it... did it just talk...I heard it say something about eyes?" He looked down at its face and particulary at its eyes "Well it seems to have slight mobian sentience...And maybe if we can talk to it... we can figure out this whole mystery.." Punk leaned forward to the creature "Um...Sir er Madam er....Person....Can you, tell us, who, or what, you are?" He gives an awkward half smile

Amber watched right before her very eyes as the beast slowly tame. It grew docile, resting its cheek against the filthy (to her) ground. It amazed her, yet she still had the attention to frown behind her scarf as Boubka started speaking very loudly (and she was very glad she had her earplugs on) and slap Punk's foot off her knife. It was already covered by the creature's blood. It didn't need shoe scrapings too. 

However, her attention was once again drawn to the corpse-like mobian when it spoke. Though soft, she could hear it. Even with her earplugs. Seeing as how the once mobian creature no longer posed any threats, and persuasion for information was never her strong suit, she pulled her knives out of its palms, getting off, and pulling a black handkerchief out of her pocket. With one long, smooth motion, she wiped the blood off each blade before expertly thrusting them back in their sheaths on her belt. She did the same with the remaining three knives, pulling them from the creature's torso and legs, wiped them clean and put them back. The handkerchief, now swollen with blood, converted the red fluids into water, which she then wrung out. An assassin should not ever carry dirty, unkept weapons, and odorful items.

The wolf now stood tall and straight, leaving Punk to do the negotiating while she checked her device. She had the information on the collar, but she couldn't locate where the signal came from due to the poor reception. At least she now knew how to disable those experiments, should she encounter more.

Echo took a few glances between Ozzi and Acai, and the mobian thing. The attack worked, as far as knocking the thing away, but it just made it angrier, and Ozzi and Acai don't seem to be doing well during that sound attack.

They'd have to endure it for a little while longer.

Echo reached into his pocket, and got out 2 pairs of fresh earplugs, he tossed them to Ozzi. This was going to be interesting.

His fists glowed a bright silver as he charged towards the monster.

Well that seemed to work... kinda.  They managed to knock the fox down, sprawling but followed with a sickening crack of her ribs.  "Oh dear..." Ozzi mumbled under his breath as he watched her get up.  Snarling and now growling, it was clear pissed off now.  There was an awful lot of sound in the room also that made it hard for Ozzi to focus.  He then looks at Echo who tossed him a pair of earplugs and gave him a bit of a glare.  "These will only help me, not Acai!" he said as he pointed to the staff.  "She can still hear the attacks!" he said in a low voice as backed up a bit.

There really wasn't much options left he thought out.  The fox is clearly angry now and fighting it in the state it is now is equal to fighting a corner injured animal, this would end badly.  The only option that would seem more logical would be to get to the elevator as once they got everyone in, the beasts wouldn't fit and they would just need to knock them away from the closing doors.

Ozzi glanced back at Twilight who was already attempting to hit the button to the elevator door.  Now he waited quietly, if the beast goes for Twilight he would do the same thing he did to the other and knock it down so they could all get in.  This all depended on how the two beasts would react.

Ah okay. So his name is Punk. He also heard him say something and as the other two came closer, he followed them. He huffed a bit after using quite a lot of energy. He also noticed that the light on his collar was off. He mumbled something that probably everyone could hear. "Hmmm...Does he wear a mind-controlling collar or something? Are there more of these?" His voice became slowly louder until it reached a normal talking volume. "Oh god...that would mean that the others are already facing these creatures again! What if they don't know about this?" His voice stopped sounding stressed as it might terrify the creature. He slowly petted it on a place that wasn't damaged, which was probably his back. "But luckily you are normal again. We will fix you up! Trust me..." So this thing is peaceful now? At least Boubka thought it was. He felt kinda sad for him. Did he became such a monster because of all this?

Although the knives were no longer impaling its incredibly skin thin, the creature still didn't move from its collapsed state upon the floor, breaths shallow and weak as its body burned from the inside from the wounds, the painkiller pill doing very little, but thankfully enough that it was able to gasp out a few words: "Mon..sters they.. monsters..." it gasped, nails twitching and scratching across the floor softly. It didn't really seem focused enough to properly answer the questions it was being given. The abomination was probably too busy trying not to, you know, die. Waking up to self-consciousness and realising you were in agony, without eyes and warped and twisted was probably too much of a shock. Who knew?


Ding! The doors began to slide open.

Of course, this was after the initial kick from the shadow kitsune that sent the silent beast sprawling from its placement in front of the doors. A powerful shriek emitted from its mouth as it rolled and smacked against the back of Ozzi's heels, limbs suddenly jerking and twisting and thrashing like some sort of rabid trapped animal. With those nails, it could certainly do some damage. Thankfully the thing wasn't aware it could actually get up right now.

The semi-mobian female fox watched Echo rush forward with glowing fists, and hissed in response, body launching itself into the air, flipping, and onto the ceiling where it clung, away from the rushing attack. She let out a growl and ears tilted back against her head as she felt a searing pain from the ribs due to the vicious impact earlier. With that, she dropped right on top of the nearest mobian to her placement: Echo.

For a fleeting moment, the cold-blooded assassin felt sympathy towards the twisted, unfortunate creature. Yet, as stated, that moment was fleeting. Within the next moment, the emotion was gone. With one final nod to the once-mobian, Amber turned on her heel, and proceeded with soundless steps into the lit tunnel. Her autumn colored eyes set straight ahead, she made her way swiftly and urgently, quickly finding the open door that led to the rest of the group.

Utter chaos was instantly presented to her.

The first thing she noticed, however, was the fox on the ceiling, looking less deformed than the mobian she had subdued earlier. And she saw it pounce. Falling. Her ears instantly perked, and with a single muscle twitch, her hand grabbed a knife handle, and pulled. In one swift motion, she swung her arm and released her grip.

The knife flew, and found its mark in the mobian-monster's chest. Right below its throat. It was a lethal throw, but she only watched it fall.

And fall.

And down he went and rather hard too!

The kudu didn't have time to move out of the way of the rolling beast and was toppled over from the impact.  He panicked as he for one dropped his staff and two that the beast was right next to him flailing about like some injured wild animal.  Quickly Ozzi got up and leaped for his staff on the floor and held it close to him.  He needed to think fast as now both beast were very much on the attack now.  With a quick dash, he bolted to the elevator door where he saw the doors opening.

He charged into it but placed his hand over the door to prevent it from closing so the others could get to it.  Ozzi held his staff close, in almost a defensive position so that if the beasts were to come this way he could whack them away long enough for the others to reach it.  With a quick glance he watched in horror as the magenta fox he managed to knock back was on the ceiling and then jumped down onto Echo.  He also spotted Amber who was now trying to help Echo.  He could only hope that she could stop the attack.

Twilight swung inside the Elevator and landed once inside. He turned around, watching the commotion outside, then started to observe the elevator itself. After a while, he stopped and looked back at the commotion inside of the room. He looked from each mobian, to each creature, and then waved. Whether they saw him or not, well, that wasn't his problem but his waving was accompanied by a very smug smirk. He felt very successful.

Echo skidded to a halt, fists still glowing with a bright silvery gleam. He looked up at the magenta monster, clung to the wall.

Then I let go if it's grip and started to fall. Straight down to Echo.

His pupils dilated as he froze in a split second of fear, not only from the impending doom, but now from the knife that was about to lodge the thing in the neck. He regained his focus, and yelled "EVERYONE COVER YOUR EARS!"  Hopefully with the right timing, he uppercut the monster in the gut, a high pitched tone, vibrations causing more tension in the blow.

In mid punch, he swore to himself he'd find a way to pay the others back for harming their ears. He'd have to make some surround sound mufflers or something.

Punk looked at the creature once more and released his hold on it "Its okay.. I um.... We can help you, just try and talk to us." He said to it, listening in on the creature "Monsters? Did... Did monsters do this to you?" He asked in hope of getting answers for this whole mess, he waited once again for the creature to respond, maybe since he released the hold he would talk more.

Boubka keeps patting the creature slowly in hope to calm him somewhat down so he could focus more. Then he saw Amber leaving. "Hey. Wait a sec what are you going to-" She already left. He was also a bit relieved that she went away. Maybe she could help the others with solving this mystery. He should stay with Punk he guesses. Being alone with somebody almost dying is not good for the mind.

The lone creature's body jerked, writhed, suddenly spasmed like whatever metaphorical demon had possessed its mind before had returned. Its eyes would have reflected such powerful, raw emotion if it had any, and its mouth would have screamed if it had the energy to do more than it was. But the spastic shudders came to a close no sooner than they started, and the deformed once-mobian lightly and slowly scratched its claws upon the ground, "You're... all... monsters..."
And then, they were still, and a coldness washed over their deceased body.

The knife dug into the flesh of the chest, and the uppercut that followed afterwards with the additional throbbing vibrations cause the magenta woman to skyrocket into the subway ceiling with a vicious and heavy CLANG, top of her skull colliding with the steel with a sickening crunch, the sound of bones shifting and cracking and shards slipping into places where they most certainly shouldn't. With the additional weapon lodged into such a lethal place, now slipping upwards into the throat from the momentum of the echidna's blow, it was safe to say that this girl was, uh, dead. And said dead body began to fall right on top of Echo.

The writhing, screeching skinned mobian on the floor raised its head up upon hearing the sound, and its movements ceased with the vibrations reverberating across the steel plated ground. Its glazed and fish-like eyes honed in on the corpse, and thus leapt towards it. Which also meant that Echo was in the way of that too. Uh, poor guy?

At least those in the lift had some nice elevator to listen to while watching this absurd chaos.

Amazing. Twilight's smirk turned into that of a dorky grin as he continued to watch the unfolding chaos. 

The music only made it better, so he even started laughing. Chuckling, at the very least, it was quiet but it could be heard with a good pair of ears. 

With that out of the way, Twilight looked around the lift for a button to press or something that would make it move in a downwards direction. Once he found a way to operate it, he probably would've made it move downwards. Without everyone. He didn't care.

'Well, there goes my nice knife.' Amber thought, upset and annoyed. Her ears dropped halfway, but picking up Twilight's chuckle, they stood erect once again. Gaze finding the black kitsune inside the elevator, she frowned upon noticing his attempts to try and get it operational. Oh hell no.

Looking around and seeing the monsters get caught up with each other and the other investigators, Amber decided she'd had enough of the fighting (in other words, "Screw this, I came for the money.") and casually strode past the chaos, hands in her pocket to emphasize how casual she was. With a couple more silent, unnoticeable steps, the wolf had slipped into the elevator with the grinning Twi while she herself, pouted about her knife. (Not that anyone could see it through her scarf)

Echo only had a split second of enthusiasm, and then it drained to panic as he heard the lunge of the other Mobian. Right towards him. Well wasn't he a big attraction.

He made an attempt to roll under his lunge, getting out of the way of the magenta fox so that she'd hopefully crush the other monster. Afterwards, he bolted towards the elevator shaft. He skidded once closer and cautiously looked behind him before entering the elevator as well.
