Species: Mobian Arctic Fox.

Age: 16 Years old.

Current Residence: Fancy housing wherever the RP takes place, I don't know.

Height: Short, I don't get mobian heights though so let's just say below average.

Likes and Dislikes:

Food: Not exactly picky, but he's not willing to try new things, he likes what he likes. He has a fondness for strawberries. He also drinks tea, how quaint.

Hobbies: Reading, Piano, Fencing. He also wrecks at chess.

Fears: He's got a phobia of large open empty rooms, sort of like agoraphobia, but not outside. He also doesn't like crowds or loud noises. He's scared of the dark too, what a wimp.

Appearance:

Val is below average height and quite lithe in frame, he's got small amounts of muscle mass but doesn't look heavy at all. He's got very light coloured fur, a very silvery colour, it appears very soft too. He has golden hair which is quite scruffy and curly. He has dull glassy eyes, one of which is blue, the other grey, genetics man. He has great posture and always has his nose slightly upwards, he looks pretty pompous.

Val dresses in expensive looking clothing, often wearing a suit jacket or a blazer on top of a vest jumper and a white dress shirt underneath with a scarf if it's cold, otherwise he dresses in a dress shirt with a tux-vest. He wears dress trousers too and the fancy shoes with the heels on them that I don't know the name off, these are quite loud. He walks around with a fancy cane, it's very ornamental, it has a eagle head on the top which appears to be solid gold.

Skills and Powers:

Intelligence - Due to his sheltered upbringing, he spent lots of time reading because he's a nerd. He's a great tactician and problem solver, though this makes him a little insufferable because he's always so smug about being right. He also can do really high level maths, because maths is soooooo helpful.

General Magical Powers - Val's a pretty good mage, not an amazing one, but pretty good none-the-less. He specializes in illusion magic and alteration, but he's pretty skilled in detection and divination too. His skills in the rest of casting are pretty good, though nothing to ride home about, though he has certain VERY powerful skills.

Blood Magic - This is illegal, really really illegal, it's a style of magic only passed through bloodlines, it's also a resessive gene, so it's very rare. Blood magic is the ability to control the blood of yourself or another in order to cast, there are 3 main types, Malign, Benign and Neutral. Val is a benign blood magician, he can use his skills to speed up healing and recovery in others, though it's very draining on him.

Gem Magic - A perk of his blood magic is the ability to use minimal samples of ones own energy to create a neutral gemstone out of thin air, these are quite draining to produce in high quanitites and dissapear after a few hours unless created with extreme care, but can be used for bribery and distraction as well as offence, Val can enchant the neutral stone during creation to make it appear as a different type, for example Agate or Ruby, the different type of gem has a different effect when thrown with high force, for example a Garnet explodes likes a napalm and an Amethyst creates shadowy bindes upon detonation which subdue opponents.

Wind Magic - Val is decent at offensive and elemental magic, but specializes in Wind Magic, he's excellent at controlling air, he uses this for hovering, though he can't keep himself airborne for very long, he also uses it to make himself go faster for short bursts, it's a great defensive mechanism.

Barrier Magic - Val is studying how to create barriers, he's got a ways to go, but he's got some skill with them, he's able to create a stable ward, that can take energy attacks quite well, though he's yet to create one for more physical advances.

Flaws:

Personality - To put it simply, Val's kind of an asshole, he's smug and arrogant. He tends to create a lot of problems with himself an others due to his personality.

Overthinking - Val's very smart, a great tactician, but he often overthinks problems which can cause time to be wasted.

Physical Strength - He's a magician, he's not really much of a close combat fighter, he's skillfull but he's not going to actually properly hurt anyone without a weapon.

Sexuality: Heterosexual, though he's Aromantic.

Family:

Cruifel Ignatious Bates - Father (54 years of age.): The two don't get on well at all, his dad's very selfish, he only cares about his family and is too proud for Val to accept. He's also a politician so he's of course, a massive dick.

Florence Lillian Bates (Maiden: Addington) - Val gets along fine with his mother, she's very sickly and he worries about her a lot.

Leviticus Raynor Bates - They get along fine, I'll flesh this out later, honest.

Personality:

Val is hard to get along with at first, he's pretty insufferable if you're meeting him on a bad day, He's smug and likes himself a bit too much, he's very aware of his strengths and ignores his faults quite clearly, infact he's hardly aware that he's being annoying. He's not a bad person though, he's very generous and compassionate and despite being quite rude, he's also very willing to help people out. He's aware that his life has been very easy and isn't afraid to inconvinience himself for other's benefits. He values other people more than himself, not quite an inferiority complex, he's more just sick of having life so easily. He tries his best to get along with everyone, but that's not really possible is it? He tends to overwork himself.
