*Only Undertale Trash Allowed

I made a topic for Undertale (by Toby Fox) because I'm trash for the game and I love it too much, probably so much that it's unhealthy. Because it's an absolutely fantastic game, and everyone should play it and experience it. Amazing characters, amazing storytelling, amazing soundtrack. It blew me off my feet and is my game of the year without any competition (sorry, LISA The Joyful).

BUT I CONCUR, IT IS A WONDERFUL GAME, AND I HARDLY EVER PLAY GAMES, ONLY WHEN THEY ARE HELLA GOOD

Seriously my favourite songs in the whole game by faaar are tied between "Hopes and Dreams" and "Megalovania".
Like, they're both the perfect ending themes for each style of play. (Well, except for the white noise that plays when you talk to Chara. That's the ending theme that you deserve.)

And Alphys unloading her crush like a spaz on Undyne made her officially my spirit animal.

THE WHOLE GAME.
ALL OF IT. EVERY SECOND OF IT.
except for the genocide run. I refuse to befriend someone who plays the genocide run. Period.

The entire game. I just want to hug it. Hug it forever. Like I've lost count of how many Lets Plays I've watched, just to see their reactions of events in the game. Because it's spectacular, and it's such an emotional journey that everyone always get involved.

Fighting her was the most heart-breaking moment ever. ;v;
Especially when you don't realize there's a way to save her too. ;VVVVV;

Regardless, TORIEL IS THE SWEETEST THING! And my OTP is her and Sans. I ship Soriel. I ship Soriel so hard.

They're too friendly for me. Plus Sans is like, a lot younger than her. (Boss monsters don't age unless they have children, and Asriel died a while before the game starts...)
But she's a precious angel who just wants to know who the hell heck Sans is.

Like have you seen their interactions with each other? They're so cute and happy together! And how Sans told jokes through the door, and how Toriel PREPARED SKELETON PUNS IN ADVANCE TO TELL HIM, AND TOOK HER PROMISE. AND at the very very end of the True Ending THEY RECOGNISED EACH OTHER and Toriel was BLUSHING AND DID YOU SEE THE CALLS BETWEEN THEM WHEN THEY'RE EXCHANGING TEXTS AND SENDING THEM TO YOU?! THEY'RE SO CUTE OH MY GOD

But romantically speaking, besides a few implications in the sadder of the Neutral runs, there's not really much in the way of hints that they're into each other. Sans kept his promise to her, but again, that just feels like something that a good friend would do as well. :c
It's like Butterscotch vs. Cinnamon for me. I would not turn my nose away if such a ship ended up being canon, but I prefer myself some healthy friendship between them uwu

But that I mean, I get your point! Either way, regardless, they're adorable when they interact! I just wish we say more of it. Sans still remains to be my favourite character, however. I made this choice when watching him be an INCREDIBLE final boss battle in the genocide run. Absolutely superb fight that's one of the most original concepts I've seen in a while.

I watched someone do a Let's Play of the game and safe to say I cried several times.  Very good game and just a lot of life lesson and such that really touch the soul so to speak.  The soundtrack is killer, I've had a lot of songs on repeat for a while now.

I really should buy the game to play it when I have a chance.

Honest to god I do not have a fav moment. I do have a few small ones that I adore. Like the damm bike horn in the waterfall after you fall down. A honk of dispear and it's a slide whistle 10/10

God there was some good one too.  I thinking the whole cooking scene was great but then the dating stuff just kills me each time too.

Also you know how deep your in when you try to crack as many references to this game as possible.

Oh god I agree that the dating stuff was amazing. Apparently you could legit date Mettaton in the original concept but that got scrapped.

Also one of my fav scenes is the news sections; PLOTTWIST EVERYTHING IS A BOMB. Just omg that was glorious.

I love Mettaton. I'm a sucker for that kind of character. He has no actual intention to hurt you until the end either, since he's just playing along with Alphys.

Aye  and even in the end, his heart is just changed thanks to his fans. Which I do absolutely love in it all <3
Like I will say this, all the characters in this game are just AMAZING. They all are so memorable and easy to identify with <3

I'm looking through this, and seeing that people didn't realise you could avoid killing Toriel.

I'm so glad I'm a stubborn a-hole and just mercied my way through it, waiting for her to give in 8D I know I had some help with the later stuff, but I kept presuming the Undyne fight was going to finish in... well, the fight 8D;;

If I HAD to pick a favourite moment, it'd be a split between Asriels 'Just let me win' speech, or the conversation you can have with him if you walk ALL the way back to the start of the game, once you beat him. Made it all seem very rewarding and I love these characters and never want to see them harmed.

Also got to ask, what are people's theories on Gaster?

Oh god Gastor.  Seems like he's one of the fan favorites on the mysteries surrounding the history of the Underground.  I actually been watch videos of what people have been able to uncover via hacking the game and well interesting but terrifying.

I do agree he has something to do with Sans and that maybe he was in fact an older brother or even the father of the skeleton brothers.  But the little bit understood was he fell into the CORE and that killed him or that it caused him to be blow out of time and space.

I think one theory was he died and then turned into an amalgam monster.  Just I really love the mystery around him and shame we can really know so much.

The stuff that's supported within the game confirms that he IS, at the very least, the previous headscientist that Asgore had. He fell into the core, and is wiped out of time and space, and is only remembered by npc's labelled as 'Gastor followers', or something.

I don't think he is directly related too Sans and Papyrus in anyway, BUT I believe he does at least have a connection to the former. It's implied in a log similiar to the ones found in the true labs that he asks the opinions of two individuals. One of which, presumably, would be Alphys since she is the only other scientist in the game.

You can infer Sans it the other one, since he at least as some understanding of the timelines. Heck, if you keep reloading, he'll give you a key to the shack. Inside, can be found a broken machine.

Common fan theory is that it's this machine that makes Sans aware of the timestreams, and if it is, it makes sense that it would be a link to Gastor. After all, the core is linked to time and space, so who's to say he's not looking into it? It would also make sense as to why Sans mentions reports about the timelines being reset

Reports not just HE was getting.
