I've seen stuff of this game finally and I WAS PRETTY MUCH IN LITERAL TEARS BECAUSE OF HOW AWESOME THE ROUTES ARE.

Genocide route is horrible. But Sans' theme/battle itself is awesome.

Normal is WAAAAT.

...Then you have the true ending. ;w;
My feels were broken beyond repair. ALSO THAT MUSIIIIIIC. NGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Found this from Tumblr.  Apparently in the demo if you kill Toriel and come back to the house, this plays.  It was removed in the finally game which kinda sad since the music is fitting.

I don't get why you'd EVER want to kill Toriel. She's so nice and motherly and it's adorable. WHYYYY would you ever kill her.

("Accidently" doing it in the game that literally lists itself as the RPG where you don't have to kill anyone is UNACCEPTABLE >:C)

Okay, but we were inevitably going to get to this point. Hidden factors in the game that few people were able to figure out but everyone is mystified then.

Seriously. ALL THAT BUILD UP TO THAT SECRET FREAKING TREASURE GEM THING AND I'M TONE DEAF AND HAD TO FIGURE OUT THAT PIANO PUZZLE ON MY OWN AND JUST
THE SHEER AMOUNT OF "WHAT." THAT SCENE INSPIRES IN PEOPLE
LIKE I FORCED MY SISTER TO PLAY IT AND I LISTENED IN WHEN SHE GOT TO tHAT SCENE AND JUST
THERE WAS A BRIEF MOMENT OF SILENCE WHEN THE MESSAGE CAME UP. AND SHE JUSt

THESE MOMENTS ARE WHAT KILL ME. THE FACT THAT THE DOG RUNS AWAY AND LEAVES YOU WITH RESIDUE IS TH E B E S T
Especially considering it's basically Toby's self-insert telling you the treasure is too OP but so is Dog Residue so c:

OH GOD I REMEMBER HOW WHAT I WAS ABOUT THAT BIT.
It felt so wierd aye like omg.
And when you use/drop/whatever the dog it just takes that dammed artifact and merges with it.
And just leaves you with that dog residue(Really handy if you are grinding at the temmie shop though)

After reading most of all the comics and watching most of the let's plays.
I'm finally ADDICTED.


This is honestly the best game ever. The characters are whimsical and memorable and just fit right into a story book.
the gameplay is top notch filled with a simple fight mechanic and some very perplexing puzzles.

The story is amazing and coherent which allows for multiple play-throughs and it's so funny at the best times and heart-wrenching at the worst times. I really never cry for things on the internet but this game made me tear up a bit at the end.

I do find it funny that in the big voting thing it's actually beating a lot of games and a lot of more srs gamers are super pissed about it and it's amazing

But yeah, for such a... not a SMALL game but rather low-graphics game that can run on most computers, its hilarious that it's topping pretty much everything. It's utterly fantastic, and I'm really happy it's received so much positivity. It deserves it, after all!

I will admit, I am a tad worried that Undertale will reach a tipping point in the fandom where things go daarrrrrrrrk as all hell and it just destroys itself.
I really hope that they wont come because it's just an amazing game dangit.

Undertale is the best thing, I could write an essay about how much I love it. For anyone who's played it to death and still can't get enough, I found an amazing Undertale themed mod for The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth. It changes most of the game aesthetically and adds the poopy buttfarts from Undertale to the character roster. It's adorable and I would hecka recommend it <3

And the closest character that Envy can relate to is... Flowey/Asriel, cause you can see that Flowey still has feelings, more than Chara, and Envy/Psycho is a psychotic prick, but he still has feelings, but unlike Flowey has... friends...

I can't speak for everybody but for me personally it's a case of;
The characters, each and every single one is super memorable and you feel for all of them. Not a single one doesn't get a chuckle out you and by the end you know them by heart.
The humor, it just times everything so right and so many of the jokes just work so well. I personally dunno a single joke that didn't get a chuckle or laugh out of me.
The storytelling, it's super simple story in set up but they way that the creator went around it just made the entire experience unique and leaving an impact.
And there is gameplay itself.
It's like a hybrid between an RPG during the majority but a bullet hell during the fights.
That and the game play offers you a big thing, a choice. You can go around like you would play your average RPG and slaughter everything, but there is also the option to not kill a single being. Not one.
The music is absolutely amazing as well and the rest of the game is just filled with little secrets and even a darker twist.

But yeah, that's just why I personally like it so much 8D;;

Yeah Uncanny pretty much summed up the entirety of my reasons for enjoying the game, but here's a few more:

Pretty much right from the start, you are given choices on how you're going to proceed through the game, and there are multiple endings - several of which are just variations depending on certain actions you take. It's... refreshing to have a game that actively shows how much of an impact you're having on the world.
The games plot is great at hooking you in - There were several moments were I was like 'right, I'll get to the next save point then take a break' and then BAM, something would happen and I just had to know what happened next.

I must stress however, that Undertale is a game best enjoyed blind. Normally I'd recommend people watch a video or two just to get a feel for a game, but not this one - any prior knowledge can really affect your views of the game, the impact it should have, etc.

This game is one of the most greatly written games of all time. I loved every single piece of it. It felt like every single thing you did in the game had consequences. And to be honest, I almost killed goat mom, and I still feel bad about it. After like, three days. That's a real accomplishment. That's even longer than some things that I regret in real life.

Also like, all the characters are amazing! Papyrus is totes my BFF. It's only too bad that we don't see a lot of king fluffybun-Asgore. I really liked his character, but maybe it was better that way. It really gives you the feeling that Asgore is like the big boss of it all. And I wanna hug Napstablook for the rest of my life even if I can't touch them ermahgersh he's amazing. HE MADE MY NAME OUT OF TEARS THAT IS REAL ART PEOPLE.

And don't even get me started on the more minor characters, like every dog in the game. I can't choose who's my favourite, they're all so cute and badass at the same time!~ Bratty and Catty are like, so amazing. And I want a pet Temmie. I NEED IT.

This is the only game that has ever made me cry real man tears. Also the fanbase seems okay! BUT THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS THAT AREN'T EXPLAINED. I-NO. WE NEED MORE.

So, lately I have been OBSESSED (emphasis on obsessed) with all the Undertale AU after playing the pacifist run on the game Undertale. I don't have the guts (much like the skeletons in the game X3 ) to do the genocide run so.... I wonder if I should play it. But anywho, you can dump any feelings of the game and fandom here.
