Another pic I did a little while ago
This is a coloured version of her. I failed so much with the shoes and all together stance, I don't even know what she's standing/ leaning on! Anyways, this is the general idea I wanted Tala to look like, but some things are missing from what her description says. For example; Her white muzzle is supposed to extend a little up in between the eyes, and the white hands are only white wrists...sorta.

Awesome work! I've always thought pen sketches were cool because they look authentic. Very interesting lookin' character too!

Oh wow, these are looking real nice actually! It's always nice to see more traditional work around - not that I have anything against digital work, it's all gewd, just there's a lot of it about. Still, getting to see some nice pen-and-paper work is always refreshing - keep it up!
Re: Foreva's Fan characters
Thank you Dregan! I have never tried my hand at digital art as of yet, but I may be saving up to get one to tweak some stuff and make it look a little more professional.
Being left handed is a pain in the butt though, the amount of pencil leftovers I get all over my hand is unbelievable. Digital art would take the mess away!

First off, wow man I like your art and style! Tala looks badass and her headshots are really nice c: And gosh gosh I feel your pain xc I'm lefthanded myself too, and everytime I draw something it leaves a lot of pencilstains on the paper as well as on my hand.. Gotta say though, the full-body looks pretty clean to me (regarding the stains)

Heya! Great penwork! I sometimes draw out ideas with a pen/paper and then scan the picture to trace it in paint tool SAI just to spruce it up. You have a cool character and art style!
Re: Foreva's Fan characters
Thank you guys, it means so much :3
I would love to be able to do my work digitally but I don't have a tablet for drawing as of yet. If I can save up and get one I think my work would look a million times better once I got used to using it.
I am fiercely proud of Tala's shoes, mainly because I loosely based them off of a pair of my hi tops which are black and purple DC's.
Thinking of drawing her with the bodysuit on that shes wearing in the RP I started on here to give everyone the idea of what that looks like. Storm Wave has actually done a pencil drawing of her and I really liked how that turned out. Maybe once his net issues have been sorted he will share it? ^^

Re: Foreva's Fan characters
Guys! This is my first ever piece done using my new tablet. I am so freaking proud of it, considering it took me nearly 3 days to finish up. Even so, I think I could have done more to it shading wise but I didn't want to ruin it. I hope you all like and if you have any feedback it would be muchly appreciated ^^

Re: Foreva's Fan characters
This is what starts to happen when she absorbs too much negative chaos energy. It starts to take her over and exploits the DNA in her system and changes her appearance. Getting worse would mean her becoming more animalistic and feral looking and a dark aura would encase her. Not sure if she would completely change into something else or not though.
I wouldn't want to be in the general area if she was taken over by that as she would just crave destruction

Re: Foreva's Fan characters
Dem claaaws. Looks like someone needs to cut their nails!
Still, looking good! I'm absoloutely atrocious with Tablets myself, my brain struggles to connect 'Drawing in one area looking in another', so always cool to see people picking them up so well!
The main thing I'd advice right now is to just try practising with slightly smoother strokes. You're mostly looking good, but there's bits and pieces - like the shoes - where you can see the lineart gets a bit shaky. I think certain tablets actually have like, a thing to help with that? Though you'd be better finding that out from the more artistically-able membership.

I agree completely, I am still quite wibbly wobbly with the lineart, but I am practising nearly every day to get a perfect lineDregan wrote:

I am also doing a proper Tala profile pic right now. I have spent so long on the line art alone, so here's hoping it has paid off when I finish it tomorrow.

Re: Foreva's Fan characters
You are rapidly improving with your drawing tablet, the smooth lines are really starting to show along with your style on paper. All in all you're improving very quickly (a lot quicker than I did, thats for sure!) Definitely keep working on it and in no time at all you'll be doing commissions, art trades, you name it.
Re: Foreva's Fan characters
Thank you so much for those words Sik!
I'm beyond pleased with how much more confident I am on the tab now, and I'm glad that its showing in the things I post on here :3
Just gotta learn how to do backgrounds properly now, but seriously thank you ^.^

Re: Foreva's Fan characters
Here is my first ever try at my newest character, Yukiko Crecent! I never realised just how hard it was to draw a Mobian snow leopard until now. Hope you like her because this took a few hours a day for about three days to finish the way I hoped.
